︎I like to learn new things, but I’m scared of being bad at things. ︎ I hate listening to podcasts. ︎ Staying on top of work and emails is easy, but replying to my text messages is hard. ︎ I am not particularly photogenic, but I like the smile that I see in the mirror.
︎ I’m a positive thinker but only after I run through every possible scenario that could go wrong. ︎ Lilac is my favorite color, and I will likely overuse it in my designs. ︎ I prefer to drink my wine cold - a habit inherited from my mother.
︎I think sweeping is the worst household chore. ︎ I wear my heart on my sleeve, and I have yet to decide if this my strength or my weakness. ︎ I hate going to bed at night but I love falling back asleep in the early hours of the morning. ︎ I will drink iced coffee in any season.
I’m 28 years old, originally from Matthews, North Carolina. It was a nice place to grow up and I enjoy going back to visit, but the traffic alone was enough to send me packing. I trained in lots of different types of dance for 15 years. I was never particularly good, but I had a lot of fun doing it and learned a lot about teamwork, the importance of winning and losing gracefully, and conveying emotion through art.
I was born at a time where technology wasn’t readily accessible but grew up and went to school where there was a smart board and laptops in every classroom, so while I am well versed in digital design, I also take great pleasure in getting off the computer, putting physical design skills to good use, and thinking outside the 1280px box.
I graduated from Appalachian State University with a BFA in graphic design in 2019. I love that little mountain town, and it will always have a piece of my heart. I currently work remotely, based out of Wilmington, North Carolina, as a graphic designer at Brunswick Corporation.
