N/0 Comment, branding + promotional graphics

N/0 Comment was the event branding for the Fall 2017 Senior Graphic Design BFA Exhibition. The full branding package included promotional posters, social media posts, and an email blast, as well as vinyl for the show and a small takeaway booklet.

The requests of the class were straight forward (as only branding for a group of designers can be.) They wanted:
1. A brand that spoke to their undefined body of work, as topics ranged from chronic illness to childhood stuffed animals and everything in between
2. A brand that was fun and that they could be proud of
3. A brand that had something hidden in it, something that only they would get at first glance

With these stipulations in mind and a 4-day turnaround time, my collaborator and I went through a rigorous branding process. N/0 Comment was born and seemed to check all the boxes. Any number divided by zero is undefined, thus allowing the show title to be read both as “No Comment” and “Undefined Comment”. The concept of “no comment” was also a tongue-in-cheek nod to the class of 2017, who was infamously quiet during classes and critiques but extremely close and vocal when among one another in social settings. The class group chat supplied the content for the brand.
