In a world where influencers on the internet are a dime a dozen and companies buy personal data to target and re-target unassuming customers, Volo (v. “to wish”) sought to be the rebels of the shopping and cash-back industry. The company came to our team and shared their goals to flip the idea of social influence on its head by putting normal people in the driver’s seat, allowing anyone to be an influencer by offering them cash back after recommending the products they loved to their friends (and their friends’ friends).

Volo needed a brand that was bold, unapologetic, and trendy enough to keep pace with a young, emerging market. Playing off the idea of “wishing” and “wishlists,” we used the hopeful imagery of crossed fingers to create a brand that was in-your-face, memorable, and well on its way to becoming an icon in its own right.
