The Peel XI, publication
Designed in collaboration with Emily Rowlands, leading a team of five designersThe Peel Literature and Arts Review is a longstanding tradition in Appalachian State’s student community. Created by and for students, The Peel produces an annual print publication and a biannual digital publication featuring the work of student poets, writers, musicians, and artists.
The Peel publications are a collaborative effort between six committees, all overseen by an editorial board. As head print designer, I worked closely with the head web designer to lead a team of student designers to create all aspects of the print and online publications, from conception to completion. The Peel XI sought to be a publication that would be both visually unique and functional in order to give justice to the art published each year.
